RE3 showing "Feature Locked"

General Help Updated January 08, 2025
Back to Topic Submit a Ticket

On software builds of RE3 that provide our newest features such as A.I generation and image processing (More Information can be found Intro to RE3: AI) it would require the machine to have an internet connection and "pinging" back to our backend server to offload this data processes and send the data to your machine.

If the machine is not able to "ping" back to our servers you may see a notice below that states "Feature Locked" if you were to use these features or "run" a job as with the data processing that is occurring it would require an active internet connection to use the software

If this happens the first thing to check would to visit the "Setup" page on your machine and follow the steps below.

  1. In your Chrome Browser visit http://(IP Address)/Setup (for example http://000.000.0.00/setup)
  2. Click on "Laser Tools"
  3. Click on "Test Connection" which will provide a True/False status message.

If this "False" at any point it would be mean the connection is not making it to our backend server. This simply may be your Ethernet connection is going to your computer directly and not your network.

There may be an ISP or network router issue causing this to occur as well but primarily this means there is no active internet connection. If you are getting "Feature Locked" when your "Test Connection" is "True" reach out to support.
