Flagship Motion Platform
6D SynchroScan
Continuous motion that never stops — no tiles, no stitching, true on-the-fly processing. The 6D SynchroScan combines a 3-axis galvo scanner with a 3-axis EtherCAT servo platform.
Why It Exists
Traditional Galvo Systems Hit a Wall
Conventional galvo lasers are limited to a fixed lens field — typically 110mm to 300mm. To cover larger work areas, they "stitch" tiles together, stopping and stepping between each one. This creates visible seam lines, throughput bottlenecks, and alignment drift.
SynchroScan eliminates stitching entirely. The galvo fires continuously while the servo stage moves underneath, synchronizing beam deflection with platform travel in real time. One continuous pass replaces hundreds of indexed tiles.
Architecture
Real-Time Coupled Motion
The system pairs EtherCAT servo axes with an XY2-100 galvo controller, running on deterministic industrial timing. The servo position is fed to the galvo in real time, allowing the beam to compensate for stage movement and maintain sub-pixel accuracy across unlimited travel.
Integrated Vision
AI Vision + 3D Surface Mapping
Every SynchroScan system includes FSL's vision stack: a 90 fps global-shutter camera for real-time feedback, ZCam 3D surface topology capture for automatic focus correction, and AI-powered object detection for automated job setup.

Laser Compatibility
One Platform, Every Wavelength
SynchroScan supports the full range of laser sources. The motion platform is wavelength-agnostic — swap galvo heads and sources without changing the servo infrastructure.
