Titan V1 Belt Replacement

Belt Replacement Instructions:

Side Belts:

  1. Power Off Machine: Wait at least 1 hour for capacitors to discharge.
  2. Loosen Retaining Screws: Remove the M4 retaining screws and washers so that the old belt can be removed and discarded.

  1. Slip the belt out: Pull it away from the gantry.
  1. Locate T-nut: The T-Nut and M4 screw are needed to replace the belt.

     5. Preparing New Belt: Place the T-Nut under the belt and thread the M4 screw into both.

  1. Mount The New Belt: Attach the new belt to the same location making sure the T-Nut slides into the gantry.
  2. Tighten Screws: Once both ends are in place tighten the screws to secure and retain the belt.

 

Gantry Belt:

  1. Power Off Machine: Wait at least 1 hour for capacitors to discharge.
  2. Locate Belt Retaining Screws: The screws for the gantry belt are located behind the laser head assembly. (see below).

  1. Loosen Retaining Screws: Remove the M4 retaining screws and washers so that the old belt can be removed and discarded.

  1. Mount The New Belt: Run each end of the new belt through the mounting slot.
  2. Tighten Screws: Once both ends are in place tighten the screws to secure and retain the belt.
  3. Loosen the motor on the mount: Once the belt has been installed on the rail, loop over the drive motor and pull the belt then re-tighten the bolts.
  4. Tension the belt: Pull on the motor on the mount with your hand. Moderate to strong force is recommended, then re-tighten the bolts. If the motors do not jog, verify that the motors are connected to the control card.
