RE5 Upgrade for RE3 FSL Gantry Lasers (Preorder)

Move your existing FSL gantry laser to RetinaEngrave 5 — a software-only upgrade that unlocks AI vision, fiducial alignment, Whole Lens Correction, Camera-Based LiDAR, AI 2D-to-3D, and the rest of the RE5 feature set on hardware you already own.

What you get

• Full RE5 software stack flashed onto your laser's controller — no hardware change required for the upgrade itself.
• All RE5 features for gantry lasers: AI Vision + Alignment, AI Whole Lens Distortion Correction, browser-based interface, Camera-Based LiDAR, the AI 2D-to-3D depth-map and point-cloud generators, fiducial-based job placement, and more.

Camera Upgrade Path

• Pro Series (PS20 / PS24 / PS36 / PS48): RE5 is required to add a camera system to your Pro Series laser. The upgrade unlocks the vision stack — pair it with our head-mounted camera kit when you're ready.
• Titan & Muse 3D: reuse your existing cameras. RE5 adds Whole Lens Correction (WLC) on top of the same hardware, giving you up to 10x more placement accuracy across the bed.

How the upgrade is done

• This is a remote upgrade performed by FSL.
• Your machine needs to be online when we run the upgrade.
• An appointment is required — after purchase, our team will reach out to schedule a slot.

Software Subscription or Offline Server

RE5 requires an active subscription or a one-time Offline Server purchase to run on your laser. Pick whichever fits your shop:

Cloud subscription

• $50 / month — monthly plan
• $500 / year — annual plan (best value)
• $1,250 / 3 years — long-term prepay (save $550 vs. monthly)

One subscription per laser. Set up when our team schedules your upgrade appointment.

Offline Server (alternative)

• $2,500 one-time — dedicated on-premises compute appliance with dual Ethernet and 8 GB RAM.
• No recurring fees. Replaces the per-laser subscription.
• One Offline Server can serve multiple FSL gantry lasers across your shop — no extra license per machine.
• Runs the RE5 stack locally with no internet connection required. AI cloud features (background removal, image detection, AI 2D-to-3D) are not available offline — contact sales if you need an AI feature in an air-gapped environment.
