Uses:
Use as a Focus tool and achieve Z focus to 0.1mm accuracy automatically with a RE4 galvo Laser with motorized Z stage.
Essential for use with 3 axis Galvos because it will build the Z_mm vs Z_dac table (Without this tool, you will need to engrave many different Z_dac focus tests at various heights to build the 3 axis lookup table)
Even for 2D provides fast auto focusing to 0.1mm accuracy automatically without engraving aluminum focus test cards.
Also tells you if your laser source is damaged or optics dirty due to abnormal spot shape.
Can be used to evaluate focus across a field to determine F-theta lens quality.
Easily check spot size vs focal length (bigger min spot size for longer focus lenses) and depth of field (using motorized Z chart builder)
